Better still is to drag the camera icon to the top of the screen and add it to the "tray". To use it tap the top of whatever display is currently on, then tap the camera icon in the tray.

Mine is also missing so yours may be as well.
at one point my infotainment went black and when it finally came back all my home screen icons were scrambled across a few different screens and the camera icon was gone. Can’t seem to figure out how to get it back.
on the radio screen it’s there at the top still so that’s how I get at it but it was much easier when I could hit the home button and get to it in the garage.

Thank you for these instructions. I’ve owned my 2018 Z06 since new and always complained about having to put the car in reverse then drive to initiate the front camera. Now it’s just an easy push of the icon.
