Default Damaged seat?

Any idea on how to repair this? Looks like the plastic bracket for the seat is coming detached from the actual seat?

I have "fixed" a few of these. I pull the switch bezel off. Easiest if you pull the seat out to work on but can be done in the car. (Im too old to be bending over) Once off you will see where the clip is broken. There will be a tab with three or four slots. I drill holes in each of those slots then feed zip ties thru the holes. I then reassemble feeding those ties around the rod that the original clip secured to. Pull back the seat cushion and pull zip ties tight. Clip off the extra and reinstall seat. Looks like it never broke. Really a cheap design as they have on most all of those bezels on the Corvette seats over the years. I can do the whole process in less than 45 minutes. Good Luck

do you have a picture of how you did it or how it looks once it’s done?

I wish you lived closer to me I would gladly pay you to repair both of mine. I took it to a shop and they reset the plastic but it pulled back right away. I am going to hunt around my area and find someone who has repaired these before and knows how to do it. I might even tackle it myself one of these days since it appears there is not much to lose. Thanks for the advice I will try it.

I will try to get photos tonight when I get home to show how it is done. Great DIY project. Really not hard to do.

Where in Sioux Falls do you live. Are you a member of the SFCC?

Here you can see the holes I drilled in the broken tab and the zip ties used. This is a simple fix. Below is after the repair. Looks like it never happened.

Thanks for the tip on the repair. Don’t need it right now, but it just might come in handy some day.

Yes I have been a member for about 30 years. I live on the east side of Sioux Falls and lived here all of my life. Retired 2 years and fishing, hunting, and Corvettes. I had a 69,87,97,98 a brand new 05, and now a 2014 Corvette.

Thank you to the OP. Mine was looking worse by the week.
Seen this and tried today. 15 minutes, 1 pinched finger and a tie wrap later. Looks great.
Easy, Thanks
