Hi all, new here. I don't personally have a C7, but my brother in law has one and was asking for advice on swapping his wheels since I did on my m3. I'm not familiar with the C7, but I did try scouring the forums for an answer to this question and unfortunately couldn't seem to find an answer.
He's looking to get new, forged wheels (i have a source so i can get them pretty inexpensively). Hes looking to minimize costs so is going with his stock tire size 245/285 18/19 setup. I know stock offsets are 56 front and 79 rear. I figured at the very least if he's getting custom Forged wheels, he should look into a potentially more aggressive stance.
With that being said, does anyone have any insight on a good offset on stock wheel size which wont cause any issues (either with rubbing, caliper clearance, etc)? Would something like an et 46 front and et 69 rear work? Or is there a better fitment?
GM cares a lot about the appearance of the Corvette, but they also spend a lot of time and money working up a tire/wheel/suspension package that works together.
People who drive like Grandma, or who race enough to know what works best; are candidates for non-stock setups.
The rest of us are better to stay with the stock version.
