I'll be with a buddy and his Red 09 GT500. We plan to get there Friday afternoon to be ready for Saturdy and Sunday. It's about a 3hr drive for us from the Austin area.
Never really got into racing in my later years but was wondering do you have to change oil to the higher weight before the run and do all the after fluid maintenance on just 1 or 2 flying mile runs?

I run 0W-40 in my car all the time so no need.
However, I'll be coming up on my yearly oil change, so I'll do it before the meet. Since I'll only make at most 7 passes, I won't need to change it again after.
I highly doubt you would need to run the heavier oil for the few runs you get since there is plenty of time for cool down between them. Someone else may have a more informed opinion.
For those who have done this or any of the other high speed runs do you have any special alignment setup or anything that you run to increase stability as you go deeper into the triple digits? These cars are so slippery when it comes to aero I have wondered how stable they are as you get up there in speed.
I have no plans to change mine. I have a relatively aggressive street alignment at -1 degree camber front and rear. The rest of my numbers are based off a normal street setup with the recommended front and rear caster and toe settings.
My car does not tramline and is very stable all the way up to mid 140s. That's as fast as I have run the car so far.

You're only on the gas 30 seconds or so for each run. I never worried about it. I'll be getting my oil changed before I go, but just using the usual stuff.

I run a "standard" alignment. I've had no issues with stability. But I'm not running 200 either.
The vents with scoops to improve airflow to the rear mounted trans and diff coolers. Not needed for drag racing or standing mile but suggested for road racing. Could possibly create a little extra drag.

I thought that was it. I have considered adding them but I am not making your power. If I start tracking the car I will.
