Question for you all; when I got in my vette today (2019 C7 Grand SPort), I noticed a strange sound when I closed the door. After some investigation, I saw that the window had not "indexed" down when i opened the door. It's now stuck in the up position and wont move. The notice on the screen tells me I need to roll the window down and back up, but there is no response. I'm assume since the passenger side window works just fine, it's not a fuse? Or is it run with it's own fuse? Any ideas?? Right now, I can't shut the door with some minor scratching and damage to the seals etc on the car. Thanks for any thoughts.
How about re-indexing the window? Did you try that?
Window Indexing and Express-Up Reset
Window indexing may be required if the vehicle battery has been recharged or disconnected, or is not working. Express-up and the convertible top will not function until the windows are reset. After battery power is restored, a message or code displays in the Driver Information Center. See Driver Information Center (DIC) on page 5-23.
Once power is restored:
1. Close the doors.
2. Start the vehicle.
3. Put windows down
4. Raise each window and hold the window switch up in the fully closed position for a few seconds after the window is up.
For anyone that is interested, it's taken a month and 5 trips to two different Chevy dealers to get this fixed. Had to replace the window regulator...$700 but I do have a warranty and it was covered. The first time it was "fixed", I picked it up and the window wasn't aligned properly, gap and air coming through--sooo, had to order new part and do it again. Suffice it to say, not real happy with Chevy Corvette support in Ga. Fixed for now!
