What are your thoughts on using wheel spacers to get the tire/rim flush with the body? I'm considering it but have never seen a discussion on the topic here.

Depending on how far you go, I was always a bit concerned that changing leverage on linkage could cause problems on track during hard cornering. For street it should be fine
Extended Thread lug nuts can compensate for wheel spacers. I use 7 mm spacers on the rear of my Z06 with ET lug nuts that have a .3 inch extension of the threads that extends the threads through the stock or similar thickness wheel. The threads end flush with the inside of the wheel so they don't interfere with tightening the nuts.
An "Advanced search" across the C7 Forums will generate a LOT of wheel spacer threads. Personally, I am not a fan for a variety of reasons. But, your call.
