I got the CEL on today. I just got the OBD FIXD the other day, so I plugged it in, and I got a P0107 Code and a message saying Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric pressure Circuit Low Input.
Any Ideas? I not sure if I can drive it until the dealer can look at or not.
Simple fix - just buy a new Mass Airflow Sensor and you should be good. Just did this exact fix myself, two screws on the intake tube and you're done.
Just be sure you don't have any oil or debris on your current sensor. You could always remove it and clean it with MAF cleaner (it's specific for that sensor - don't use brake or carb cleaner). If you still have the code, replace the sensor and be done.
Id second this suggestion. But you could try the mass air flow sensor cleaner. Few bucks at auto zone. May work or may not. I bought a new MAF not knowing this was a thing. So I kept my old one and I hit it with the cleaner and I’m going to swap it back and see what happens.
The car is definitely driveable depending on how much of a hesitation or rough idle it has.
also, this code came and went without any changes to the MAF. I don’t know what causes it but it can be a ln intermittent code.
Well thanks for the info and I will keep it in mind if I have an issue with the MAS, but I am referring to the MAP. The Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric pressure Circuit Low Input.
