I'm not finding the Homelink to be dependable. On the 0ld 14 I had to keep pairing it and the new 19 isn't working. It's at the dealer now for triple flush and they will check it if possible. The memory isn't holding either so I told them to check the battery for age and replace if original since these problems can be related to a weakened battery.
Are the other vehicles in your household functioning properly? I had a similar problem. The remotes in all of my vehicles were acting up. Turned out to be the circuit board on the garage door opener. I replaced it and everything went back to normal.
Homelink has been on my 14 since it came to me. Works like a champ and no issues. If your garage door is arguing with you, I'd suspicion that your board is croaking. I have my door and a mild to wild on the other 2 buttons so all 3 buttons are being used. I've changed garge door openers and the Homelink is hitting on all cylinders. So, no, the homelink usually works as advertised.
+1 to checking other remotes to see if they are just as finnicky.
The homelink on my c7 is the best I've ever experienced, to the point where I want to tear the module out of the visor and graft it into my other cars. I can trigger my garage door from just shy of 500 feet away, through trees, houses, and cars.

IDK if that is always possible. I have never been able to get 500 feet. I can get 100 feet all day long and maybe even 200 but definitely not 500. However, I am approaching it at an angle so maybe there is a problem and I can bet that if I tried to get it to 500 feet, my neighbor opposite me will have a few things to say and do to my face.

I tried it on a whim and was shocked that it worked. I should clarify that it's definitely not 100%, but it's quite often I am able to do it.
I'm sure it's because I'm driving down a corridor. I'm poor and live off a freeway, so there's a huge sound wall on the opposite side of the street from my home -- I'm sure that helps reflect the signal.

I'm relatvely new, but what do mean by this with homelink buttons 2 and 3? Thanks! :-)
Mild to Wild has a FOB. One button opens the NPP flaps, the other button closes the NPP flaps. I linked the left button of the visor to the "Open" for loud and the right button of the visor to "Close" the NPP flaps. Just hold the open button and sync to the visor button, similar to the way you synched the center button to the garage door.

Thanks Elmer. So it's a programmable semi "shortcut" to NPP instead of the mode dash **** or setting defaults in the sound mgmt in settings? I guess I'll reset the opener for the middle button instead of left.
