Does anyone on this site live in Savannah GA? I am trying to purchase a C7 GS front bumper on line and there are so many scammers I am wondering if they could help me make sure the sale is legitimate. I live in Arkansas
Have you posted a request at the "Parts for sale/wanted" section of the C7 Forum here? If someone has something you can at least see if they are a long time member or a brand new one. Just a thought if no one comes thru for ya around Savannah. All the best, and welcome aboard.
Thanks a lot for your reply. Apparently my very innocent request for help has caused an uproar on the forum site. They think that I am the scammer. This person on line is asking $500.00 for a perfect C7 GS bumper that would be shipped. I am 800+ miles away and believe it might be a scam because the guy keeps changing the story. Claims he has dementia. Might be true but I thought I might be able to get someone to verify locally that the bumper even exists. But obviously I have created a huge crisis of faith in my fellow men.

Try posting your request in the Southeast Regional section of the forum. Nothing wrong with asking for assistance and you are right about the number of scammers out there.

The database shows you have been contacted by two scammers. You should have warning messages to that effect in your PM inbox. Be wary of sellers who have recently registered and have no track record of sales. Also, note the scammers typically want payment in a from that cannot be reversed if the deal goes bad.
