Default Brake upgrade question

I'm upgrading my Stingray brakes and rotors from the base JL9 brakes to the Z51/J55 sized Power Stop Z26 brake set. I've already purchased the two larger front calipers from Chevy. I'm wondering if I will need to purchase the front brake dust shields as well. It looks like the dust shields for the base JL9 brakes are different than the Z51 J55. Is this something that I will need to replace with the larger rotor and caliper? The Power Stop brakes should not create much brake dust. Thanks!

Why not go to the J56 calipers/rotors up front? Nearly the same price for the calipers on rockauto vs the Z51 calipers. Would need new front lines but a good time to add braided lines.

I thought the GS and Z06 rotors and larger caliper would require special modifications in order to fit the Stingray. Of course I would love the bigger rotors and calipers.

I think the J56 rotors are also thicker which would require spacers from the rims. I would love to have them, but seems like a lot of extra. I will be happy with the Power Stop rotors and pads. Do you think I need to get the J55 dust covers or will the base JL9's work?

yes you will need the dust shields if you are going to the Z51 calipers.

You need a 6mm wheel spacer or aftermarket wheel to fit the j56 calipers. The only other mod would be the brake lines. The calipers bolt right up in the front.
