I was out running some errands yesterday and everything was fine until I came out of a store and started my car (‘19 Stingray w/22k miles) and the “Service SRS” popped up on the DIC. Stopped and started the car several times and the message still comes up.
I’ve read thru some of the previous forum posts on the problem but don’t see a common cause. I see that there was an open recall/TSB on earlier models to do a reflash but I don’t know if that applies to 2019 C7’s. I also see that there seems to be problems with the wiring harness under the seats. I don’t track the car so there are no extreme G forces involved.
Any words of wisdom before I take it to the Stealership?
Do you mean that your harness has visible problems or there are problems in general? If you have a harness problem that needs to get fixed. To try to stay away from the dealer you could try an auto parts store read your codes usually for free. You could also look for a piece your plug into the connector that uses your phone as the display. Search 'diy automotive code reader' or similar. There is variation as to how deep into the systems these readers can go so research that before buying. If all you get is the general SRS code, you already kind of know that. You need to be able to see which SRS component is causing the code. Good luck to you.

I was just saying that some of the posts I read with this same problem were caused by issues under the seats (broken wires, bad wiring harness….)
I haven’t investigated yet but it’s odd that it was fine when I got out of the car and ten minutes later, when I got back in, the message came up. I hadn’t adjusted anything. 🤷🏼
My brother is a service writer at a Buick/GMC dealer so I always get fair treatment there. 👍🏻
I agree, there is an SRS unit and those little units can be had for $60 online. I have not seen this code too often in my experience.. I remember an actual airbag recall, but not the SRS unit. get those codes
