Was there a full exposed carbon fiber option for the 2016 C7 Z06?
I am looking at a car and the dealer claims all of the exposed carbon is factory. I just want to be sure.
I am not close enough to go see the car in person. I will be having it shipped across country.

Never heard of full exposed.
You could get it on the roof, the hood, the front splitter (except the Stage 3 canards) and the side skirts. There was also an interior option for carbon fiber. Order them all and I guess it was full exposed.

I am sorry I didn't mean the whole car was exposed carbon.
It has:
The front splitter, front wheel well openings, roof, rear wing, side blades and the rear diffuser all in exposed carbon.

Sounds like all aftermarket parts except, maybe the front splitter, side skirts (side blades?), and the roof.
The wheel spats were all plastic. The aftermarket sells painted and carbon fiber versions.
The rear diffusers were all painted. the aftermarket sells carbon fiber and painted versions
The Z06 did not come with a wing. It came with a rear spoiler with Stage 1 or Stage 2 winglets and the Z07 cars had a smoked center piece.
What trim level is the car? 1LZ or 2LZ? If it's a 1LZ then most likely all of the above is aftermarket. If it's a 2LZ, you probably have a mix.

3LZ could be a mix as well. If it has a wing....ie like the ZR1....definitely aftermarket. Any carbon fiber spoiler pieces....the spoiler on the top of the rear bumper or the winglets that bolt to it....definitely aftermarket. The car is 7-8 years old depending on when it was built and people change things
The easiest thing to do is get a listing of the RPO codes. Then there's no guessing.

It's a spoiler not a huge wing. It looks like the Z07 spoiler but in carbon.
all of those pieces are aftermarket. I have just about everything external on my z07 thats not painted in c/f and the only oem pieces were the front splitter the side skirts. mine is a 3lz with matte c/f interior virtually everything external comes carbon flash. the rear diffuser is definitely aftermarket.
If that's the actual car you're talking about the rear spoiler could be from GM (I think the carbon fiber spoilers came with the Carbon 65's), the side skirts are probably factory but the last picture of the rear diffuser and diffuser fins are 100% aftermarket.

GM made an exposed spoiler for 2018 and had 57 left over for the 2019 MY. I was able to order my very early 2019 with it.

I agree - take a pic of the RPO listing then check it out. Just be careful when accessing the code sticker - the rear carpeting can tear rather easily if too much force is used when peeling it back.
