Nope. I think it would make very little difference. I have done diff fluid changes on C5, C6 and C7 vettes numerous times. Whom to say that measuring across the door sill is even level at the same time as the drive train?? I have measured across the bottom of the rocker panel with a carpenter's level but whom is to say that is even parallel with the drive train?? The factory does not even deliver vettes with the diff fluid level up to the very bottom of the Fill port. So sweating a few ounces at most is not relevant.
