Thank you for the part number. I just got out of the parts department at my local Chevy dealership and they came up with part#24275039 (but didn’t have it in stock). Do you know which part# would be correct?
I don't know which is correct. Based on the exploded view in the link the part appears to be correct but can't speak for the number. I would imagine the odds of a dealer having the part are quite slim. A good weld shop could use a copper rod the same size as the shift rod journal as a backer for a full penetration weld then just a little touch up with a file on the bore. I've done that myself many times on different projects, the key is finding skilled people or the ability to do it yourself. As much as it's nice to get projects finished, waiting for the correct part can pay dividends.

Understood, thank you. When checking on an online parts site, it says the number the dealership provided me won’t fit (it may only be for a 2019 whereas I have a 2017), but the number you provided says it fits.
I’ve clicked through the ordering on 5 different sites trying to find one where I can get the part by next weekend, some are saying it won’t be until the end of the month. Ugh.
My transmission was recently replaced. Can you perform that job strictly from under the car, or would they have needed to access the shifter area during that job? Wondering if this was broken during that job or sometime before.
I did the same thing when I installed my MGW shifter. I ordered the part from the Chevy dealer - took about one week to get in. This is what you need
Thank you for your reply. I think they changed this part for 2019, as this part number only lists 2019 Corvette whereas #19206520 lists 2014-2018 Corvettes. Although the two parts look very similar, I’d be interested to know how they’re different.
yeah I wouldnt re use that, sucks you have to wait that long for something like that, but as our cars get older the parts seem to be less and less it appears and wait times more and more.
sometimes you luck out and some dealers have random stuff like this floating in stock.
good luck.
Wanted to close the loop on this thread and provide a comparison of the two part numbers. I was able to receive the parts fastest from a local dealer and was able to complete the MGW install this past weekend.
In the attached pictures, part#24275039 is on the left and part#19206520 is on the right. The only discernible difference between the two was the notch seen on the inner clamp circle of part #24275039 (red arrow in 2nd pic). With that notch, part#24275039 was most similar to the OEM broken piece and ultimately what I used. Bonus that it was ~50% of the cost of part#19206520.
Hope this thread is helpful in case anyone runs into this broken clamp in the future.
cool glad u got it buttoned up.
yeah the main thing is getting it aligned correctly and then tightening stuff down to spec and using lock tight when required.
Researching spare clamps for my C6 racecar project and stumbled across this comparing the two PNs because the 19206520 PN is verified to work for C6, but curious why the 2019 only car has a new PN w/ the notch? The shift rod assembly PN is the same for all C7 years/models. Interesting. Buying 2 520s and 1 039 just because.
EDIT - Looking closer, the old part is a consistent circle, the new part it's actually a "step" vs. a notch. That step makes the opening out of round which would appear to make it clamp w/o compressing the clamp quite as much? Curious if the later C7 shift rod end is different and the parts fiche is just wrong?
