I have a 2016 z51 3lt stingray that recently started to develop a slight knock in the exhaust when just put in drive and reverse. it goes away after 5-10 mph and I brought it into the shop. he Diagnosis was.
Has four baffle exhaust system, Found two cracks in the weld of the exhaust its recommended customer leave exhaust alone.
it doesnt affect the performance or Handling of he vehicle its just a slight annoyance. Has anyone encountered this problem before. does this mean its time for a excuse for a new exhaust or overall a new c7.

Getting a newer C7 seems like a really drastic approach to a minor issue on your current car. Either get a replacement (used) NPP system or splurge and get a new or used aftermarket system.
The NPP in the '14 Z51 I just returned to CarMax had that. CarMax could not replicate it as it did not always rattle.
The Rattle usually happened when slightly pulling away from a dead stop.
The car had major rear suspension issues that they also worked on a few times but at the end of the day, they just took the car back.
One of the welds on my C5 didn't just crack, it broke apart at the flange connecting the muffler. My shop said welding wasn't a good option because of the thin metal and advised replacing with an X-pipe to both exhausts. I loved the improved sound.
