I have a 2015 coupe that I bought new. It has been a great car and I drive it daily during the non-snow months. It has been very reliable. It is now 9 years old and the interior controls, for lack of a better term, are starting to act up. I get warning beeps when I shouldn't and some of the adjustments periodically don't work at all. It is still drivable but has developed a mind of its own. Is there a central computer chip or unit that controls all these things that can be replaced? or?
thanks in advance for your help
If your battery is old - replace it. Old, weak batteries are a major source of odd electrical gremlins. Replace your fob batteries while you are at it -but they are not part of your current problem.

There are many modules! My C7 has 26 different modules talking on five different communications interfaces. If you can be more specific, we might be able to narrow it down a bit. A good battery is a great start.
The battery is about two years old, but I will check it.
I was hoping that there would be just one central module/computer/chip that controlled all these functions, but I guess not.
thanks for the input

Many features are controlled by the BCM (Body Control Module, located at the front of the passenger footwell, behind the carpet), but a list of what specific features that are "goofy" will help diagnose this.
If the issues are with the seat memory positions, and/or outside mirror positions, then the likely culprit is the seat control modules, mounted to the underside of the seat bottoms, or the mirror position potentiometers mounted inside the mirror housings and the seat position potentiometers mounted to each seat motor.

One quick 'fix' is to disconnect your battery for 5-10 minutes and reconnect which will cause all the computers to reinitialize. Even if that works the cause is likely a weak battery.

All batteries are not created equal. When, I got my 2016 Carmax put in a new battery. It did not last much over a year and a half. I put a Delco 42 month Battery and the little things went away.
I believe, checking the battery, under load, would be cheaper than chasing modules. jmho

Which items don't work properly? First, check the battery to see if it is OK. Then find somebody who has a scanner that is equivalent to the GM MDI2 and scan the car for body codes (OBD2 scanner won't see them). Even though there are no lights if something isn't working there is usually a code that indicates where to look. If there are codes they will tell you where to start looking.
