That's not generally a bad thing. It may be an attribute of automatic transmission C7s. 👍
It was definitely a charteristic of Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission automoblies in the "70s and '80s. The "jarring" hit was a sign of a well running Mercedes automatic transmission.

That must have been how the first owner drove my car! I do not have any problems as long as I keep the R's up!
