Anyone ever do this on stock C7 Manual? I usually do it on any Vette with MGW shifter. Just wondering if worth doing on the stock shifter. Thanks for any help...
I did the antivenom mod when I installed the MGW on my C5 Z06. It was a definite improvement to the feel of the shifter.
However, after installing the MGW on my C7, I found that it was not necessary. The MGW is perfect out of the box on the C7. No Antivenom Mod necessary in my opinion!!
I went to an MGW shifter. I can't see how the mod would benefit a stock shifter in a C7, seems it would make it very sloppy feeling. Especially with the 4th to 5th gate and 7th to 6th.

did it on my MGW shifter on my ‘04 Z06 Commemorative Edition..,seemed to help
People did it with the stock shifter on the C5s and C6s.
Here is a video that shows how to do it and how the washers change the depth of the detent. Again, it sort of shows the shift feel isn't in the shift linkage or the stock shifter it is in the transmission.
The original anti-venom mod was a product sold by somebody in Florida. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1563865728
It was just a short bolt that replaced a Tremec spring-loaded detent bolt so there was no more detent ball dropping into detents in the mechanism to provide feedback to the driver. Some people realized you could just add a couple of washers (purchased at Home Depot or Lowes) to space the stock detent bolt outwards and accomplish the same thing Vs paying for an expensive bolt.
Here is something to think about: Tremec specifically designed the notchiness into the transmission shift mechanism.
I did this on my C7 with a MGW and decided that it was better with the detent having the full beans, so removed it.
I have tried every combination of shifter, box, washers, bushings, etc and my personal preference is a MGW followed very closely by a bone stock setup with a TMOD cup. I don’t think antivenom is needed on a C7.
