Outdoor Cover Recommendations
First was from CarAutoCovers.com. Cover itself was good and kept rain and other stuff out. However the inside layer started disintegrating after about a year and left “dandruff” on car. Got a “warranty” replacement after paying 35 in shipping and replacement did the same thing only sooner.
Second was a seal skin. The first covered they shipped was comically undersized. The replacement was huge (in no way fitted to car) but worked for a while. Now less than seven months in water is seeping through. They also wanted a “warranty fee” but I refused and told them we’d be going to small claims. They relented and are sending me a replacement. Come to find out their “lifetime warranty” is anything but. Seems to me that these companies simply bank on charging “warranty fees” to pad their profits and don’t design these covers to last.
So, any suggestions as to what has worked for you? Something that is both car fitting and will work for outdoor use. I’m in NorCal so no snow or extremely cold temperatures but we do get a fair amount of rain in winter. Budget is not really an issue (within reason).
Thank you in advance.
