I'm looking at the Laguna blue 2016 Z06 Corvette Mike has, I know virtually nothing about this generation since I am a C2 guy, my question is are there any problem areas to look for and what is the market price for this optioned car. Thanks,Mel

You can probably get some idea of a market price by checking the C7 Corvettes for Sale section, but keep in mind that sometimes the price is much higher than at least I would pay.
Look in the C7 Z06 Discussion section of the forum for common problem areas.

I would look on eBay to get an idea of what Private Party pricing is and you know a dealer will be more. I don't look at the "stoned" aka asking price. I see what it has sold for in the last 3 months. I look for a warranty of 90 days to get my own tech to do a PDI and not rely on me pretending to know what I am doing. If you get a certified Corvette tech, odds are he has a better idea what the common problems are than some guy who works on everything and anything. After the tech has gone through it, you have a better idea of what is possibly wrong.
All of the wide body C7's have the potential wheel cracking issue & the auto trans cars could have shudder problems
IMHO, no way I wouldn't get the A8 triple flushed. Waiting could cause further expensive damage. Wheels, I guess you could wait for a crack before replacing.
I know there were reports of overheating with the early (2015) Z06s when tracked. This pertains to the A8 cars only. I know the problem was resolved but I don't know when. For a 2016 I'd check with the guys in the Z06 section. If you don't plan on tracking the car, then I don't think this is an issue during normal driving.
Yes its a 3LZ, after doing more research on these I think I'll back out and stay with the C2s, much easier to word on , not saying I won't someday have one, I really do like the car Mike has for sale, thanks, and B-17 I took a flight in a B-17 Fiying Fortress, I will never forget it, or the sacrifices and lives lost in these aircraft for our freedoms.

C2's are great looking Corvettes but the C7 Z06 with its modern technology and power is hard to beat never mind how beautiful it looks and the last front engine Corvette. JMHO

We've had a couple of C7s - great cars and not that bad to work on. We have a '68 L71 vert, and like that one too. I've always liked C2s - will probably go there.
I agree on the B-17s, and those (and many others) who sacrificed for us. The B-17 was the first plane my Dad helped engineer as a new aeronautical engineer at Boeing. He tried to enlist at the start of the war, and they wouldn't let him because they told him to 'help build the machinery that will win the war'. We moved my Dad in with us when my Mom passed. We took him up to an airfield where the B-17 that's in AZ was at for a few days and I offered him a ride. He said "I'm not riding in that thing!!". We laughed. After he passed a few years ago, the plane was back and I bought the nose and went for a nice, sentimental, ride. Good day to do some remembering and giving thanks. Best, Paul

I have a 67 L71 and would have to part with it in order to have a C7 and I would if I could find the same exact color and Z06, 3LT,interior ect. car that Corvette Mike sold (I was a bit too late), good story about your dad, I have the utmost respect for these WW2 heros
