Default Rear cradle pics

Started on this tonight at 7, this is where I stopped at 9. Thought it was a much longer process. When I looked up the labor on Mitchell's it call for something like 14 hrs. I'll see how it goes tomorrow going back in. This was in my shop.

3400 to 3600 stall

Careful! The Mitchell Manual Mafia might put out a hit on you for making their numbers look bad!

Your going to love that stall. I put a 3000-3200 in my car and it is just awesome. Car is so much more responsive at low speed too, it was a very good upgrade.

A few questions for you:

What is the transmission jack supporting? I am curious if it is just on the crossmember, just on the transmission, or both. If we have remove the rear cradle and torque tube, what is the center-of-mass point?

It was my impression that you have to remove the rear fascia, at least the lower, to drop the rear exhaust, in order to drop the cradle assembly. How did you get it done with the fascia in place?
Thanks,
Dan

Drove it home, and I love it. You probably should have went the higher stall. Under normal driving conditions it shifts smoother than the stock one. And when you get on it, hang on.

The transmission jack is on the cradle and the transmission. It has 2 rachet straps around to keep it from flipping.
If your just doing a torque converter you dont have to remove the torque tube.
My car has a rear mount turbo. So I just removed the pipes. You can finesse the mufflers out without removing the rear fascia.

Just shows you what the dealership can charge, and what it actually takes to do the job.

So probably a dumb question on my part, but did you not have to remove the torque tube for this procedure?
