I had a C6 and I had to remove and treat the top seals every 4-5 months to stop the pops and creaking noises. Is that a common problem on C7's as well?
I have two C7s and neither one ever had pops and clicks. I do rub a light layer of GM dialectic grease to the seals about once a year. A real non detectable thin coat. I have had the Stingray for 8 years and the Z06 for almost 4 years and both have in excess of 100,000 miles on them.
My 2015 started creaking at about 40k miles. Didn't matter which roof - clear or carbon fiber. I tried the suggested fixes - o-rings on the rear pins, silicon grease and even adjusting the rear latch. Nothing worked. Then someone posted a fix from GM that included front replacement pins and latches, which did the trick. Its been about a year now and it hasn't come back. Fingers crossed. As I recall, the newer cars had the updated parts - 2017 up maybe?

I don't use my clear top but both the painted carbon top and the raw carbon top do not make a sound. I do treat the rubber a few times a season with 303.. so far so good
The tops are very sensitive to adjustments. I've found that with 4-tops across both my C5 and C7. That said, the factory setting for the rear hook are rather tighter as delivered than I expected to be necessary; that can be a clue if using different tops or you've bought a used car without any idea how it's been messed with over the years. Find an assured never messed with that doesn't make noises and check the rear adjustment; compare yours with it. Also, if you have the early C7 front pins noises can be worse. Finally (promise), the transparent top, which I greatly prefer on both my Vettes, are not as rigid as the solids (carbon fiber) which can contribute, as well. All the best.
Mine creak a little on my 2017, especially the clear top I bought pre-owned from a 2014 model. I understand there was a retrofit kit for larger or redesigned pins, but I did not do that.
Someone posted a solution that has worked great for me, using silicone surgical tubing. I removed the rubber washers off the two front pins, and cut the tubing the length of the pins (about an inch), and add the tubing for the two rear pins just for good measure. The tubing compresses into the holes really tightly, and eliminates the creaking in my case. I also keep the weatherstrip etc. conditioned. I replace the tubing whenever I remove or replace the roof(s).
