Default ACS Front Splitter - 2019 Grand Sport

I currently have a 2019 Grand Sport with a poor man’s splitter. It’s basic plastic and scratched. I have been researching an ACS Carbon Flash Z06 splitter (no winglets). Reviews on their site are all positive - I cant seem to locate anything on this site with search rich function (likely user error). Any thoughts on this upgrade and investment? Also, any thoughts on winglets and any purpose they serve?

Also - any general views on the rock guards they offer as well?

Thank you and hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season.

You won't go wrong with ACS, which is (near) OEM quality and fitment, but it comes at a high price. Many choose lower cost options that less "painful" to replace when they (inevitably) get damaged. @Pineapple offers a great summary of the most common brands here.

FWIW, I went with a combination of parts from @ACS Composite and @C7 Carbon on my '19 Z, and I remain happy with both.

Following Norton’s advice, I went C7 Carbon. 0 regrets and it works with the factory undertray

If your GS is a daily driver, then consider the splitter a consumable because eventually it will hit something.

Unfortunate, this happens often.

Thanks. My poverty splitter has war scars for sure. It’s not a daily but I want to be able to drive and have fun too.

Installed the ACS Z06 splitter on my Grand Sport today. My factory carbon fiber one was cracked and worn away in a few places. So I figured $800 on the ACS would be plug and play.

I'm disappointed to report that the ACS Z06 splitter is not compatible with the $80 OEM undertray. It's missing the provisions to mount it. Instead you have to buy their $800 undertray in addition.

The front end ossilates at higher speeds without it. Guess I'll be ordering the $800 undertray from ACS. 😡

Has anyone had a body shop, fill/paint/clearcoat the Carbon "Flash". Take it off, bring to body shop, done?
I have 1 OM Carbon Flash w/stage 2 winglets, hanging in my garage. 1-10 condition rating around a 4-5. Why can't it be filled and repainted?
I also have a Carbon Fiber w/stage 2 winglets on the car now, as expected damaged. I know I shouldn't repaint over CF but, Why Not?
Speed bumps, high curbs, animals in the road & stupidity are all reality.
Anyone want my OE Carbon Flash, with OE stage 2 attached, $ 195. you pick up OR MY my Aftermarket Carbon Fiber w/Stage 2, $ 250. you pick up.

I'm going the paint and fill method, unless you guys know something I don't about body work/shops.

You can use CF body filler and/or epoxy and CF strips. Then body work and repaint.

What CPB said All the parts have a clear coat over them. Do the "body work", sand/prep, and then paint.

FWIW, if buying a replacement, the C7Carbon front splitter accepts the factory undertray.

Welp, wish I had gone that route. $81 undertray sounds better than the $800 from ACS.

That's the non-Z06 splitter often referred to as the "poverty splitter."

is there anything “wrong” with it? To me this makes a lot of sense. It doesn’t have winglets but that’s not a big deal for me.

Nope nothing wrong, I think it just gets called that because it's bare plastic and lower cost from GM.

If you don't care about aerodynamics, then maybe it's less effective than the stage 2 and 3 splitters.
