Default Splitter Attachment Question.

I have the Stage II splitter coming in next week from EOS and I was understood that it would attach to the existing bolts on the car. Are these the standard bolts about under the nose? I counted 12. Or is everyone saying that the new splitter lines up with the bolts from an original splitter?

There are 10 or so bolts on the existing nose that are reused. Then you have another 10 (I think) self-tapping screws OR rivets that you use in addition to the factory locations.

There are several good YouTube videos. Search EOS (or it may be Extreme Online Store) Splitter Install. Very good step by step instructions.

Good luck

As mentioned, besides some of the factory bolts/screws, you will need to use rivets or screws in additional locations to ensure the splitter is on the car securely. Good luck, adding the splitter will really transform the look of the front of your car.

I will most likely us the Rivetnuts. I bought the complete kit when I ordered my Wicker bill kit. Harbor freight had a real nice kit with many different sizes. Most likely I will go with the 10/24. I like this better than using standard rivets od simple self-tapping screws.

How did the HB rivnuts work out? I'm about to do the same splitter and would rather use rivnuts than self tappers.

I ended up using the screws supplied, but I am going to change to the rivnuts most likely. They worked great on the Wicker Bill spoiler
