Anyone do a square 18 in setup on their C7? I don’t like the look or problems of low profile, especially the roads around me. Currently have19/20. Could (might) go 18/19 which is standard Stingray, but I’m going to look at 18/18 also, assuming there are AS tires available. If you have it can you post a picture please. Thanks.
'Square' also means same width. That's not going to do you any favors in terms of handling.
Would a rear 18" wheel fit over the calipers?
OK, then I meant all 18's but standard width of 8.5/10. Will find out about calipers. I think all 18's is a common race setup, so perhaps someone will chime in. Thanks

Yes, 18 squared on all 4 is very common for trackday guys. Allows rotating.

I just got my C7 a week ago and intended to go square since before I got it, as I have always had good luck with square tires with my previous FR cars on track and rotating tires front to rear is nice.
I also intended to move to 18" wheels as the tire selection gets cheaper and frankly huge wheels aren't really my thing but unfortunately the wheel selection in 18x10.5 with an offset that would work seems very sparse, the few options are NLA. I had intended to run 305s or maybe in even 315s up front, not sure how well that would turn out in going down to a smaller width wheel.
When googling to see what other people might have ran square I happened on this thread and just so happened to see it was posted today so I thought I might as well go ahead and post lol.
Another guy here that switched from 19/20s on my Z51 to a forged 18/19 wheel setup with all season tires.
I've never had a problem with this setup and I couldn't be happier.

I’m running a Signatures in a 18x10.5 Front and 18x12.5 Rear. They’re All season options, but I am personally running a Michelin PS4 front 285/35/18 and Mickey Thompson Street ET Rear 345/35/18. Front does seem a tad lower, but if you know how to angle your car up slopes etc, you will be ok. Also my car has the Z07 package, no clearance issues with the brakes, might need to static balance unless you shave the plastic connected to the control arms in the front for a dynamic balance like I am about to do.

Why is the rear tire a different tire than the Michelin in the front?
Look on APEX Wheels website they show a bunch of customer cars in various combinations.
IMO when you get to 18's they look "small" on the C7 with large wheel arches. The you find that you get a thick sidewall to compensate and things can look funny.

From all I have read on this forum you need approximately a 1" difference in tire diameter for abs, stability, etc to work correctly. You can maybe do that w/ the tires while keeping the wheels all 18" but that will kill front to rear rotating.
I use 18 inch wheels on the track. With the correct offset they will fit over the brake calipers. However, you have to be careful of the wheel barrel diameter. I have one set of CCW 18x11 front and 18x13 rear wheels and they clear the caliper and the upper ball joint. I also have a set of Oz Racing 18x12 wheels with a 2 mm offset difference (from the stock 20x12 rear wheel) that I use for my slicks. However, the Oz wheels don't quite clear the upper ball joint. It lightly rubs the inside of the barrel leaving scratch marks in the barrel.
The difference between the CCW 18 inch wheels and the OZ wheels is the Oz wheels have a varying size barrel diameter, where the inner portion of the barrel has a wrinkle in it (probably to increase the strength of the cast wheel) that wrinkle narrows the diameter of the wheel where it sits over the batl joint. The CCW wheels are forged and have one barrel diameter, so they look like a flat surface on the inside.
