I have a few scratches on my windshield. They cannot even be felt when I run my fingernail across them but they are there as I get a small prism like glare when the sun is at the perfect angle. Does anyone have a recommendation for a glass scratch removal product. I see a few on amazon with good reviews.
This was something we used to do on the yacht glass windows I ran many years ago:
Try at your own risk: To remove fine scratches in glass, mix the Rouge powder with a medium such as water, olive oil etc and this should turn into a paste. Smear the Rouge Powder or paste onto a soft mop attached to a polishing motor and keep the speed slow or polish very slowly until the desired effect is obtained.
I had a 68 corvette with the original windshield that had bad wiper scratches. I got the windshield Cerium Oxide Glass Polishing Kit. It takes time but the results are amazing. You will need an electric polishing machine.

Yes, that's the stuff. Watched a guy buff out a scratch on a big picture window. Amazing results.

30 years is the glass business , Yep it will take them out but if you get the glass to hot you will melt the interlayer and cause a bad distortion in the glass
Controlling the heat and buffer speed is essential in producing the best results !
Cover the car before starting as Cerium Oxiode is very abrasive and will "fling" everywhere
Also don't try and take out anything more that a light rub in glass , more than that and you will ruin the optical properties and it will feel like you are looking out thru a fun house mirror
