I’ve scoured the YouTube channels looking for details on swapping out the passenger side dashpad with the integral vents on each side. I did find one, but he literally showed a before and after, but skipped the detail.
Does anyone have a description, video or drawing of how it is held in place?
@Smokeyjr He is selling an Adrenaline red one on this forum and has done the swap himself. Very nice guy. He is also a Vendor.
He may be of help to you on swap instructions.
My understanding is that it's about a 3 hour process to do.
The forum administration was kind enough to give me vendor status...because I do limited edition corvette artwork sell the prints and donate the proceeds to charity
It's not hard to do depending on your skills and tools . It took me 2 hours from start to finish, some others state that it took them 4 or 5 hours . Is just removing a handful of 7 mm screws
Everything is easy except for one item on the actual dash peice , the center console top plate pops off to get to one 7 MM ( does not need to be completely removed ) glove box is 3 7MM screws . The metal piece on top of glove box is 6 7mm and the dash piece itself has 5 7mm , the two top ones are a challenge for sure but do able once you figure it out
Now i just need to finsh my door panel
Yeah , i read them all , there are some varying degrees of mechanical ablity shown in these threads , and some details left out of others , some of these guys took the whole car apart , others some took things off that just not need to come off or did things I would not do especially when it came to those top two bolts . Many were saying you need to drill out the square molded piece on each side , the factory installed it without drilling anything , While they were a pain , once i figured it out they were easy .
There is nothing like talking to somebody who has done it before and can walk you thru a process and warn you of all the pitfalls and tell you how to disassemble and reassemble without making any " modifications " or breaking anything in the process
That's why I always say , PM me if you need help ... I am always glad to help others
