Hi guys I just got a trailer and I have some problem with the wiring. My friends and I cannot figure out how to connect the wires. Do we have to remove the rear bumper? Btw the trailer hitch and wires are from leroy engine and I think I have seen someone in the form are using the same thing? Can anyone please show me some pictures or instructions? Also I am thinking about to connect the trailer light to the cigeratte lighter. Does anyone has any ideas about it?
Corvettes were never intended or designed to tow anything per the owner's manual
Any car can tow a small trailer like this. He isn't going to haul a boat with it.
OP, I don't know if there is a plug-in harness available. But, on my Audi that didn't have one, I used a trailer sensor setup. Basically, you attach a "sensor" to the wire - it is a small clip that wraps around the wire - and it senses when the brake lights come on or turn signal is operating. Then, an attached module connects to the battery, and it makes the trailer lights work. Sorry, I don't know what it's called, but I'm sure you can google for trailer wiring harness wireless or something like that.
There is a small module you can buy that connects to the battery and plugs right in to the tallight harness. I cant seem to find the details from when I bought mine, but as I recall there is a you tube video of someone doing it and they indicate what you need.
