Default REV holding???

So I was always annoyed with the "rev holding" in my C7Z. And not just "rev holding", but during a hard acceleration through a gear....when I let off the throttle, I swear it holds throttle to maintain that rpm for maybe 1-2 seconds.

It WAS an annoyance, and now with 800hp at the engine, it feels downright dangerous. Is this easy to get rid of with a tune?

The shop that did all my engine work put a perfect tune on the car, but I forgot to bring up this issue. Is it easy for the them to tune out this "massaging" of the throttle?

I know I might get some "but that's also dangerous" comments....but I would like a tune where the position my foot is on the go-pedal is precisely what is given to the throttle body. Just like the good ole days. When my foot is at 100%, the throttle body is at 100%....as soon as I let off, the throttle body snaps shut. So exactly like a cable-driven throttle body. It's what I'm used to....and on the track road course, it's exactly what I want. I take my time to learn the engine power, and finesse the throttle with my foot. I don't want to be guessing / fighting with the car as to where it's going to put the throttle.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

i upshift with the paddle immediately to bring the revs down, even in automatic mode, the paddles shifter will upshift to a higher gear and stop the revs

If the tuner knows what he's doing regarding driveability, it's fairly straight forward. If he's a "WOT only" type of tuner....it may or may not be easy.

It sounds like what you're describing is "throttle hang" but then you mention wanting the throttle to reflect gas pedal position. While related, these are two different things so you'll want to be very descriptive with the Tuner.

Yeah - "throttle hang" sounds accurate. And I can't stand it lol

I will talk to my tuner to see if they can do a "1 to 1" mapping of accelerator pedal position to actual throttle position...

C7s aren't that easy. There are a bunch of factors that go into throttle position. Here's what the Driver Demand table looks like. It's a torque based system...

There is a table that addresses "Max Area", but really what that does is establish a limit.

Then, depending on what's been done to the engine you can start to get into other tables and settings.

Long story short, it can be really easy or it can take some time to address customer desires.
