Yes... drive them! Just a car... a special car for certain... but they wash up nicely
Drove it home last December OH to MN when I purchased it. Rain, snow, icy roads. Did just fine!
This is a fun thread. I can't find the picture, but I thought I'd relate the story anyway. My wife and I were on our first long road trip with our '17 GS. We went through a large rain storm for well over an hour. No big deal. Except we were in WY on a 2 lane road (60 mph) during the fall when the ranchers were all trucking their cattle from the open ranges to wherever. The road was completely brown with wet cow manure for at least 50 miles. Ever see/smell wet cow manure? Awesome! I knew it was going to be good because the wipers were clearing what looked like a muddy mixture off the windshield as we followed the cattle trucks for miles.
The storm was mostly done when we stopped for gas. Got out and our AB GS was coated in brown manure. And I mean coated. As I was filling the tank, I walked around the car and just laughed. What are you going to do? Stunk good too. When I got back in the car my sweet wife had already located the nearest self-serve car wash. Sprayed it off top/bottom for a few minutes and hit the road. We still laugh about that. Have a great day, Paul
Returning home after the 2009 National Corvette Caravan in our 2000 Dark Bowling Green convertible, we stopped in Ely, Nevada on Hwy 50 "The Loneliest Highway in America". A dust storm covered the highway with white alkali dust, then a sudden downpour turned it into white mud.
Such a cool hyway US 50 is... particularly thru Nevada, the Silver State!! So empty of traffic and the greatest gift to a fast Corvette... Yours looks great with Nevada coating it's skin... knowing she's gone, lickty split across a road where others seldom venture, the Lincoln Highway 😏
Sorry, no can do. I live in SW Florida and only drive it in nice weather, which around here is the majority of the time. Plus it's garaged so it really doesn't get too dirty.... Best I can do:
I love the monochromatic look you have going on with the wing and the ground effects. BTW, where did you get those ground effects and do they make them for a widebody?
