Hello, I'm a new member and new 1st time vette owner. I recently bought a 2015 convertible and love it.. The key fobs are not working to move top. I put in new batteries but still no luck. The top operates with the control inside the car just fine.
Is there sensor that could have gone bad? If so any idea on cost to fix parts/labor? I checked the trunk and have snapped the divider into place. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated...
Thanks in advance

Congrats on your C7 purchase and sorry to hear about the problem with the fob and your convertible top. I have never owned a convertible Corvette so I can’t really help you out there but if all else fails, a good dealer service department should be able to get things operating properly. Hope it turns out to be something simple.
Congrats on your C7 convertible. Attached is a pic from the owner's manual re. key fob lowering of the top. Make sure to press the unlock button first, then hold down the top button until top is completely lowered.

Thanks for the reply...I tried that ..no luck...I think it is a sensor that may be in the windshield...Probably going to have to go to the dealer..
Window Indexing and Express-Up Reset
Window indexing may be required if the vehicle battery has been recharged or disconnected, or is not working. Express-up and the convertible top will not function until the windows are reset. After battery power is restored, a message or code displays in the Driver Information Center. See Driver Information Center (DIC) on page 5-23.
Once power is restored:
1. Close the doors.
2. Start the vehicle.
3. Put windows down
4. Raise each window and hold the window switch up in the fully closed position for a few seconds after the window is up.

thanks for the reply Elmer, the top will function going up and going down using the switch inside the car. The key fob will not operate. The top is the problem.I dropped it off at the dealer mid day today to find out the good or bad news hopefully it’s something simple.

I have a 2015 and on the fob it has a up-and-down for the top it’s not working as my problem the dealership will sort it out and let me know the damage.I’m thinking about getting that smart top other than having to push the button once instead of push and hold, I’m trying to see the benefits to justify the $300 plus costMaybe you could help me with that?Does it cut your grass lolMrbirdog
The PO (previous owner) purchased and installed the SmartTOP on my 2017 GS, so I use a different method to operate the convertible top remotely. I agree that it does cost a lot and I’m not sure if I would purchase it.
I have the smart top and it is TOTALLY worth it to put on the car. One button push and it goes down along with the windows. One button push and it goes up along with the windows (the FOB won't do that. The dash board is one button "tap" and it goes up/down fully.
