What's your recommendation for how often to put the convertible top up? Do you put it up every time it goes in the garage and down when you take it out or? If you leave it down mostly, does the top crease?
Should say right from the owner's manual to keep it up, my last car was a 2018 Camaro SS vert and I always made sure the top was up in the garage just in case I didn't drive it again for awhile
I plan to RTFM when the car gets here. Was just curious what people actually do and why. I'm in SW Florida and the weather is usually conducive to a top down configuration. And, living here, my cars don't sit much. This will be my first vert...
Top up when in garage. Had a GTO a while back and I left the top down and it developed creases and after a while it shrunk. Again this was a 67 GOT.
Enjoy ther Vette
Congrats! Mine goes up and down a lot. You might want to consider this tweak: LINK It makes raising and lowering easier and, in my experience, more consistent. If you are 2014-2016 you can also get a window module, so both top and windows can go up with just a push! I have a 2019 so it just works for the top.
Thanks but I can push a button a LOT for $320... lol
I know what you mean. Just depends on your frustration tolerance. Dropping the top on my way to the car is great--instant cooling! But the number of times I did not hold the fob button long enough, or there was interference in the parking lot stopping the top part way down really started to bug me. Also, I put the top up on my way into the garage. Holding the button in the car while driving in was not really practical--with this tweak you just push the button once and it goes up (or down).
Anyway, the vert is great. Can't imagine a coupe anymore . . .
My vert is a C6, but here in the Northeast I tend to leave it down in the summer and up in the winter. Does it wrinkle? Sure. But after it's been up for a while they go away. Frankly, a C6 or 7 vert with the top up doesn't look particularly great anyway, so I don't much care if it's wrinkled.

I watched a video of aC8 owner installing a module on his convertible so that he only needed to push the button and then the top went up or down without having to hold the button. It was a lot of work installing it and cost almost $400 to save 20 seconds.
I put mine up after each drive 95% of the time. Only if I know for certain the next morning I'll put it down.
Call me weird, but I don't want spiders or other bugs having easy access, then climbing out on me while I'm driving, and wondering what the hell is crawling on me!!!!
So, typically it up, unless I want it down, then I'll push the button. When the drive is over, up it goes.

If the top is tan/cashmere keep it up .
The tan tops develop “dirt” marks in the creases.
Ask me how I know.
Nearly impossible to get the dirty look out of the top.
