That is not a bad price, the work is in the paint correction step and usually takes a full day to do right. I would ask about what product they apply for the coating.

I do it myself, and yes it does need to be redone in 3-5 years. Mine is 5 years old and the nose of the car needs to be redone.

Bought my GS vert when 75% was covered with PPF (nothing on top two rear panels). Now everything is PPF, but the rear end. I suggest PPF the full front, mirrors, and rear quarter panels. Ceramic coat the rest. Seems like the best of both worlds. Good luck.

I got a local quote of over 3K and it didn't include wheels! I need to shop around.

A couple of things.. as others have said you are paying for the paint correction which is absolutely worth it if you are not physically able to do it. It took me a week of evenings and weekend to do mine. It was a lot of work and I was very sore from all the reaching, squatting and bending. The actual applying of the ceramic was the easy part. A real ceramic/graphene coating is next level above the spray products and waxes though. I do like the Turtlewax graphene flex wax and did use that for a while but the Adam's Advanced Graphene coating is what I would up using and there is just no comparison to the shine and dirt resistance. Bug guts just wipe right off with little effort. People make a fuss about the maintenance required but that doesn't have to be expensive or a chore. It just means that the coating will wear out faster if it doesn't have something on top to take the hits and abrasion from washing. It could be as simple as using the Adam's Graphene spray detailer after a wash which works as an excellent drying agent or you could use any other spray wax or detailer to maintain the coating. It's recommended to use a ceramic or graphene product though to maintain those properties.
