Hello
I have a 2019 C7 GS. Over these past few years of owning, when I drive at night (head lights on), after about 20 miles, the car looses the right front tire sensor. It does clear the next day when I would drive it, so I did not think much of it being more annoying that critical.
A month ago I replaced the rims with forged, but on the way to the tire shop (raining very hard) the headlights and wipers were on and the loss of the right front sensor came on and would not clear. When I got the car back home (raining all the way) I grabbed the OBD2 reader and found several error messages; suspension control error, BCM module error, ABS module error. I tried to clear them but no luck.
Off to the dealership and they found the 5 year old battery was bad and replaced it, which seemed to fix things.
A few days ago I went to our monthly club meeting, driving home at night. Again I lost the right front sensor and the car just didn't seem like it was running correctly. The next day, back to the OBD2 reader to see what I could find out, no error codes stored.
I started to think about if the alternator and see if it was working properly. Did the test and it is charging at around 14.9V.
I have heard of a battery temperature sensor and thinking if it is charging too much, maybe the alternator is shutting down?
I have searched the forums, but could not find anything.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?
Thanks,
Dave

You don't happen to have LED side marker lights installed on the car do you? If so, some versions of the lights causes the right front TPS to lose communication with the computer and it will cause the warning light to come on.

Thanks for the reply.
At first blush I would not even consider the side marker lights.
The dealer I bought it from changed out the side markers with ghosted LEDs. What the manufacture is I do not know. Going to pull the right front light to see if there is some manufacturer listed. If not I will probably replace all of them with Oracle tinted.
When I finally had something to look for, I had a chance to read up on the side marker problems. Wow, who wouda thunk?
I will get this out of the way first before I do anything else, however I still think I might be having charging problems (yet to be determined).
Currently it is snowing here and will be for the next few days. I am hoping to get into it soon and will do a follow up when I finally get things settled out.
Again Thank You. Much appreciated.
