So, I am new to the C7 family, as of Monday 4.15; complete oversight on my end. Glovebox on the car I purchased is stuck closed. I don't think Im in valet mode. I read a thread on hot access it from passenger side but when I went to try that I ran into a surprise. Can anyone help me open it? I can't try to access it from the side because something is stuck in there; Thanks in advance for any insight
Got it open, needle nose pliers, and some poking. found some interesting things inside but glad this was a false alarm;
I want to replace the piece so I don't have to use tools to open it each time, does anyone know of a fix? I am thinking of cutting/ removing that piece but I can't seem to find the plastic piece

It's a piece of hard plastic that's been jammed in there, someone probably to open it from the side once it got stuck before. I had to grab, push it in, and press the electronic button at the same time to get it open.
May go to the dealership to see if they can fix it the proper way. I have to basically slam it to close it again.
