Missing emergency drivers door release
So in doing some other work on the car I noticed my emergency door pull went MIA. I pulled back the carpet where the hole is and I don't see the mechanism rod anywhere. Anyone have any idea where it might be hiding. I'm assuming it's a rigid rod assembly and not a braided wire.
any guidance would be appreciated.

Missing drivers door release cable 2018 post
Emergency Door Open cable.
When I bought my used LRGM Stingray I noticed that the emergency door cable was not visible and had slipped behind the trim panel as you described. I was able to fish it back out with piece of stiff utility wire (wire close hanger would work as well) and needle nose pliers. I cut a piece of wire approximately 18 inches in length and formed a small hook one one end. I then fed the hook end thru the trim panel slit and snagged the door cable. Once the cable was hooked I slowly pulled the wire back out until I could see the door cable. I then took a pair of needle nose pliers and pulled the lever back thru the slit in the trim panel. Took a few tries but did not have to remove anything. you might give this a try before removing anything

Thanks guys, I ended up having to pull back the carpet and some trim but I found it. I'm going to try to put some kind of bushing on it to keep it from slipping behind the carpet again

Good luck and glad you were able to find the cable without a disassembly.
