I noticed the hood extractor is missing the 2 torx screws, it’s only holding on by the white plastic clips. I would like to replace the 2 missing screws. Anyone know the size torx screws needed? If I remember correctly they have T30 torx heads. Thanks
Should be T15s (I just verified on mine). I'd run to a local hardware store and pick up an M4x1.0 and an M4x1.25 (or something small like that) for a dollar or so and see which one fits. Eyeballing the threads on mine, it looks like x1.0 and not 1.25. Then you can order replacements. There are also a variety of torx bolts on the car....remove one and see what fits and then take that to the hardware store for a size.
You'll find that GM is proud of their bolts. Wouldn't surprise me if they charge $5 each for these. You can usually buy exact replacements via Amazon from Auveco or any number of bolt vendors for 10% of that. Pro-bolt USA, Bellmetric, and Fastenal among others all sell quality hardware. Worst case you spend the same amount of money but get a dozen spares for the toolbox. These are used all over the car (and on other GM cars) so you never know when they might come in handy.
I looked through my GM stuff and interestingly enough it showed bolts in that location vs the correct torx.

The top center clip would not engage without the 2 missing torx screws, resulting in a gap between the extractor and the hood insulator. I was able to confirm the screw GM part number (16662182 11611884) and specs (M4.2 x1.41x25). These are readily available on numerous online vender sites for about $5 each.
EDIT: fixed a copy and paste error in typing the part number. Sorry bout that!!

That part number comes up as a garnish molding clip not a screw. I lost mine too and found some that are very similar but I wish I had the part number for the original T15 screws. Im pretty sure I went with 11548270 but that has the large washer on the screw, which I don’t remember the originals having. I also tried the 11611882 and I thought the looked just like the originals but they were just a little too short. Whatever you try make sure they’re not too long. Is this what the originals looked like?

You're right....I looked up the p/n and it comes up as a clip.
When I run a google search for gm part 11611884, the results state “GM multipurpose screw”, and that’s exactly what it is. The part number was given to me by a local Chevy dealer who used my VIN to produce the part number with associated exploded parts diagram showing the screw locations. Ordering the screws from an online vender ( dealer did not have them in stock) using the part number above resulted in both screws delivered to my address and fitting perfectly.
Oops in reviewing my previous post in more detail, I see I made a copy/paste error in typing the part number. My apologies, I will edit/correct the post momentarily
