Somewhat rare?
The funny thing is there are 3 of them that show up to car shows here. Considering how few were made it's surprising to see 3 of us with NRB Stingray's at a local car show.

In my thinking, NRB with tan has more of a look and feel of an elegant gentleman's machine, luxe, and sleek, subdued yet intriguing. Black interior gives a more aggressive feel, time for business in the cockpit look. Some of the gray cars also have a lighter gray interior which also lends to the subdued look that may catch you eye if you dig kalahari.
Torch Red is a classic that just pops everywhere and looks sporty and energetic, racy, and aggressive. Always a top seller for Vette's and always looks good. Metallic red adds some refinement, sizzle, and allure to the normal red pop.
Gray is my personal favorite to own, Watkins Glen Gray (WGG) on the C7 is juicy! More subtle than the bright colors (the car gets attention either way), still a racy serious look with lot's of metallic pop when you're up close to tantalize your senses. My favorite color to gaze upon might just be Sebring Orange!
No matter the colors once you start the engine you are in C7 world and you connect with the vehicle regardless, and there is no better place to be in my opinion!!
One more piece of advice, take your time shopping for a machine like this and maybe look out of state if you have to find what you love. The C7 is rare enough and there are so many combinations that it took me roughly 2 years of searching before I found mine. Of course I was picky, and after driving a GS and a Z06 I knew I wanted a 1LT Grand Sport in WGG with black interior and the manual 7 speed. I was blown away after a couple years when the exact car popped up just 2 hours from my house exactly like I would have ordered it from the factory, except it had the heritage stripes which I removed. I wanted the lightest wide body C7 from the factory for the optimal driving experience, GS 1LT 7M it is, and I think it is the finest car ever made!!
I setup alerts from all of the major the auto selling sites (using autotempest) for any models in a 500 mile range that would hit the market so I could keep up on inventory and pricing changes. The more you look the more you will start to notice deals that stand out, and also the cars that stand out to you!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

But GM knows they can always sell a White, Black, Red, Silver, or a Grey Corvette. Their research tells them these colors will disappear of the lot quicker than any other color. And so we see from the chart in reply #25 that the top five colors account for 62% of the C7 production. And the remaining seventeen colors account for the other 38%.
Night Race Blue, Lime Rock Green and a host of others are great colors for the C7. They just didn't churn the Market Research numbers.
Are low production colors rare? I don't believe so. GM knows every Corvette will sell. It's just a numbers game. It's about how long they'll sit on the lot?
If you like the NRB, go for it.
My opinion, of course…
