Is there any repair or understanding of why the "front" camera on the C7 (mine specifically a 2017 ZO6) is so blurry when activated. I know it's newer but the front camera on my C8's are all perfect, and while I can accept "slightly" poorer cameras of 2017 even my old cell phone had better pictures.
The cameras aren't exactly 1080p. IIRC, even the PDR is only 720p. I am guessing the front and rear cameras are only 480p. not to mention the video processor probably isn't the most advanced either.
How difficult was the install, and do you have the new camera p/n
Depends on how comfortable you are removing the front bumper cover. Lots of YouTube videos that show how this is done. Once off, remove the old cameras and install the new. Sometimes the cameras need to be recalibrated to get the two images to line up. Any decent body shop can do that. Probably charge a couple hundred dollars since it does take some time.
I did have one screw that didn't want to release from one of the old cameras, so I just crushed it to break it free since I was throwing it away it really didn't matter. You can also see the part number on it.
Mine is a track day car so the new cameras now have a small piece of Xpel film over the lenses to protect them.

Thanks, this is something I might have to look at.
Does anyone know if you can just add a camera on an LT! package?
I don't know what a LT! package is, but if you mean 1LT, then yes.....it can be done but it's not for the faint of heart. There's a member that has done it on his 2014. Jeff V as I recall.
I have noticed on my 2019 that the clarity is really dependent on where the sun is, where the angle of the light hitting it is, how bright the ground is in front of it etc... Night time clarity is worthless, but you can still see how far from a curb is your spoiler.
Not sure why you need a high-definition camera to avoid smacking a curb or other object with the front splitter of your car. Try parking with no camera and you will find that even 480 p is sufficient to prevent damage.
