I installed the EOS X-Pipe. Excellent quality and fitment. Some don't like it because is comes in two sections. However, I found that it gave me some flexibility in fitment during installation.
If the two piece assembly concerns you, Speed Engineering also has similar X-pipe, but is one piece.
is the sound improvement noticeable or just weight savings? Undecided if I should go all the way.
If you have the NPP exhaust it will be a little louder. Pull the NPP fuse to get best sound, gurgles and pops. I have the discontinued Borla x-pipe and love the setup.
For the price, I would do it again. The sound is a little louder at start-up, but the overall tone is improved to me. A little throatier sound. And I think it is really noticeable at high RPMs.
I did mine and I like the sound, not to obnoxious. What helped me. Use the old pipe as a guide and stand them up so they match, then tighten the center clamps. Also the EOS has longer slots on the rear pipe connecting points, make sure they are covered during install or you will have an exhaust leak.
I can't tell you how it impacts the sound because I installed it at the same time as my Corsa Xtreme mufflers. Although, after reading a zillion reviews & watching videos, I was convinced that the x-pipe alone wouldn't be loud enough for me.
Yes it makes install easier I’d imagine. I’ve only ever installed the Speed Engineering one but I’ve read you have to size the EOS one and then unmount, tighten middle joint and then reinstall.

I used the original X-pipe to match the length, tightened it, then installed it. But, it does have to be the correct length.
