I'm adding a small wireless camera to the front and need to know where a good switched power outlet would be recommended in the fuse box. I would normally test it myself but with my bad back, bending over to make the tests is not fun. Thanks
Hey that is a good idea. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I wish I could help you with the fuse connection, but I haven't gotten to that yet. What kind of camera are you using?
This is my first attempt so I didn't go for a high-end camera. If this works it will be all I need since I don't use my car for shopping very much and parking lots/obstacles do not come up very often.
I just installed the exact same unit and it works great. I have a front license plate so i used the little mount you see below in the picture you have there.i was thinking of using that license plate mount by drilling some new holes in my plate as the holes did not line up with that plastic bracket. I did mount it with that small piece that swivels with vecro in the grill right next to the top of my license plate. It sticks out a bit but is not very noticible. I adjusted the angle with the liittle bracket until i got the proper view asnd then tightened up the screws. If you want you can run the USB provided cable to the USB outlets in your console or you can buy an add a fuse and power it up that way. Unit works very well and is very clear
