So I grew up re-jetting carbs, advancing distributors, changing rocker arms and all the rest of that stuff. The tag line on many of those products was "Seat of your pants gain".
I just added the non bluetooth Soler TC to our 2014 A6 and set it to SP4. It's like a completely different car!! I was really surprised just pulling out of our driveway. Then driving all day, interstate and local, the car just responds so much quicker. What a joy to drive!!
If you were on the fence with an A6 or A8 I couldn't recommend anything more.
Many will say my right foot is my TC, I would have thought the same till I tried it. It's really a great mod!!!

Thanks to Soler Performance!!
Totally agree, I’ve had mine installed for a week now and it’s so much better. But I just bought a Diablo tune, forthcoming and Lew says he tunes it all its not needed, but you can leave it installed if you want. Guess I’ll see how all that works out. But yes for $200 it’s a great addition. I have similar throttle controllers on 2 others cars I have and brings them to life. ❤️
Agreed @Jeff T. I installed mine about two weeks ago and love it! For the record my car is an M7. I was on the fence for a long time about purchasing one wondering if I "needed" it or how bad I wanted it or if it was a gimmick. I read lots of posts by guys saying "just use your foot" and such - "you don't need it". And yes, while both of those are technically true, the throttle controller really brings the car to life in my opinion and makes it drive like it should have to begin with from the factory. Right now I'm at SP5 or SP6 deciding which I like most.
Finally, the deciding factor for me was the throttle lock out feature. In addition to the performance feel, I love it as another level of anti-theft precaution with the lockout being controlled by the app on your phone. I made a little video below to show the effect of the lock out feature - the car is running at first, then I restart the car and demonstrate it again.
Thank you to the team at Soler for responding so quickly to my questions and spending time with me on the phone talking me through what to expect with the controller and my manual transmission.

I didn’t know about the lockout feature! I’m def trying that. I have the Soler box visible, can someone disable it from the box? Like from the little buttons on the controller itself? Anyway I’ll check this out.
@Jamie316 AFAIK, only the bluetooth versions have the feature - not sure what version you have. And no, you cannot disable it from the little controller, only your phone. I confirmed this with Soler.

Good to know about not being able to disable the lockout feature from the display screen. I have the Bluetooth version on my car but have not tried to use that feature yet.

I asked Soler because I wanted to know what I would do if I lost my phone while the pedal was locked out. Two things, you can set up multiple phones with the Bluetooth code so I was thinking of adding the app to my wife’s phone as well. Last resort you could pull the controller out and hook the pedal up without the controller in the circuit and it would start like normal.
I have been looking at the throttle body for a long time. Supposed to help on the low end. Makes sense with the way it is machined, but don't know if it is worth it. I'm iffy about putting electronic add-on components inside the car. Seems "cheap", but that's just my opinion. Everyone seems to like it.
I have the capability to tune with HP tuners and think I can get similar modifications to throttle response by changing driver demand tables, but don't have enough knowledge to do it, and if done wrong, it could be a really bad day.
