I don't know if they can be changed, they would need to sell the stick separately. The round stick will accept the original shift ****. With the boot in place everything will look stock.
Ok I didn't worded correctly. I have a Flat stick handle without the box. Wondering if the flatstick would fit on the shift box of the short shifter. I thought awhile back MGW sold the flat stick by themselves to do the swap, but it could have been during one of my flashbacks.

If you look at the 2 shift levers, it certainly appears that they would be interchangeable.
But why not send an email to MGW and ask them?
You can use either flat stick or OEM **** setup with the MGW. When I bought mine they offered three options (flat stick, OEM ****, or aftermarket **** option) so I bought them all and I went back and forth. I ultimately liked the look of the flat stick but the feel of OEM best.
It is just a swap out of the top, the box is the same (see below).
