Default Trans flush

I recently bought a 2016 Z51 with 13,921 miles. I just took it in to have the fluids changed and my guy wants to the triple flush. I made him aware that it was already performed and I’m wondering if I should do it again. He said that it should be done on a regular basis and I’m not sure I agree. Your thoughts.

I would not do it again unless you are having problems and then it may not be the fluid as a cause.

After 50 or 60 thousand miles, sure it can't hurt things.

A second triple flush at 14 thousand, no way.

Note:
Unless they didn't do it right the first time or your having issues then maybe.

Triple flush was to get rid of the old fluid because it was deemed to be bad. Now that it was done PROPERLY, I am not sure what the point of doing it AGAIN is. That said, if you just bought it, I usually do an "it flows, it goes" thing where I would do it again just because I don't know the guy who did it and how well he did it. That he wants to do it again is fine. As a regular thing, not so good. I'm on board with another triple flush but going forward, regular flush

The only reason you would need to do a triple flush again would be if you went way too long between the last change (say 75,000 miles plus) Since it's doubtful anyone on here would do that, you are fine just doing a regular drain and fill of the trans fluid. It's probably a good idea to have it done about every 25-30k. The one saving grace we have in the C7 with regards to transmission fluid life is the fact that our transmissions run very cool compared to other cars. Just look at your transmission temperature after a long drive and you'll often find it's only at about 130 or 140 degrees. So the fluid won't break down as quickly as it would with other cars where the trans fluid might run closer to 200 degrees.
