Don't take anyone else's word about the car, there is no getting around the fact that you need to inspect the car yourself. Spend the $39. & get a Carfax report as well as a GMVIS report from your local Chevy dealer to see some of the history of the car

Who is selling it? If it is a dealer, find another dealer nearby to run a PDI. Have them engage their Corvette certified tech so he hopefully knows more than the random tech to go through the car and all the weak spots where problems are at.
