Default Andriod problems

I have a 2016 Stingray, and I recently got a new Samsung A15. My old Samsung A13 operated my navigation and music. My new phone does nothing. Black screen. I've done a reset on the phone, checked permissions, updated Android Auto, went to the phone store and the Samsung repair center, and the chevy dealer. Nobody knows. Any ideas?

Make sure the phone OS is up to date, then unpair and repair the phone to the car.

Verify Android Auto is configured properly on the car and phone.

Also try a different cable.

Presume you paired phone to car for telephone use. Did it work?

If the phone paired then try a different cable. My new S23 Samsung did the same thing and a new cable did the trick.

I have a 2016 Stingray and a Samsung S21 Ultra and have no trouble connecting.

You re-set your phone which is a good start! C7's get a Gremlin every once and a while and a lot of times, disconnecting the battery will cure it. I would try that next, before I did anything expensive. Be careful of the thin black wire on the cable, when disconnecting and connecting. jmho

Thanks for the input. I tried disconnecting the battery, but no luck. the weird thing is, after about 15 minutes it starts to work, but it is about 10 minutes late on Google maps as to where I am, and Pandroa kind of works.

Try a different high quality cable.

Cheap fix if it works.

I agree. Not directly related but charging my outdoor house cameras became unstable. It was the charging cable.

I recently replaced the cable with the best one I could find. This has got me stumped. I think I'll buy a new phone and try it right at the store.

Did you try all 3 USB ports?

Try this:
  1. Disable battery power saving mode on your phone
Open phone Settings > Device Care> Battery > Choose Optimize or High Performance.
  2. Enable background activity for Google Maps
Open phone Settings > Apps > Google Maps > Select Battery > Enable Allow background activity.
  3. Check your Permissions settings for Android Auto.
Open phone Settings > Apps > Android Auto > Permissions > Check all settings.
Another fix could be to use a wireless dongle to connect to Android Auto

Thank you for all the input. I tried all of the solutions, but it still did not work. I googled this problem and found out that other people have issues with the A15 and navigation. I returned the phone, paid more money and got an S23 Samsung. It works fine now.
