Carvana
3K miles a year only, clean carfax, all PMs reported
It came with a 7 day (6 day technically) return policy which I got extended into a 21 day return policy to address undisclosed discoveries and their warranty company. The experience was new to me, but I have a shop owner brother thats done it 3x and knew how to guide me thriu the processes. You need to be a resilient person, but reasonable
I would do it again, because the small hassle of getting things corrected that were undisclosed turned out to be $12,000 covered from “track use” but alot of extras came with it. The last week proved to be challenging as I had to work 96 hours for the DNC coverage in Chicago (1st responder in Power) and had to bring it back to the dealer 2x. My work schedule was my biggest hangup
$6300 of that was removing the AWE track exhaust and going back to OEM. Blows my mind what dealers charge and get away with.
A 3rd party adjustor was called in to verify the claims and approved the workIn the end, Carvana does NOT want you to return any cars sold, so their warranty company will work to correct most anything you find that is within the language of “Covered” undisclosures. My brakes and fluid were covered even tho they are not within the language by the way
The warranty company has a poor rating with the BBB, but they came thru 3x for my brother and now for me. The rating likely stems from people unwilling to do their due diligence until after their return window closes. Mine went straight from pickup, to the shop lift to be fully gone thru and I recommend that for ANY purchases from anywhere
No dealer purchase would have covered these things in my experience. Ya gotta go thru their “in network” repair centers to be inspected and if too advanced (usually being a Corvette Id say it is) most will defer to a Chevy dealer
My brother purchased a sporty Cadillac for himself and 2 cars for his kids. The coolest part of the purchase experience was taking the whole family to the vending machine to see it delivered

I found the car on their site and saw that it was there for a a few months. When I looked at the carfax report the mileage went from 4200 to 43,000 in a few months with service and inspections etc. I think a lot of folks were gun shy due to this.
I went ahead anyway and didn't let them take it off the trailer until I checked a few things. First I took down the mileage on the dash, then the hours and did some math. So with the mileage showing it came out to an average speed of about 40mph, which is reasonable. When I did the math with the carfax mileage it came in over 200mph, which is totally unreal. Then I looked at the tires and tier date codes and felt they were the original 7 year old tires with almost new tread on them, then looked over the car for dings....found absolutely none. So we started it up on the trailer and it ran like a top. So then I let them unload it and took it for a short drive. Loved it and kept it. Now 20,000 miles later only thing I've done is new tires and regular maintenance.
Do some homework, be diligent and if you see something you like go for it!!!!
Oh and so after I had it state inspected I ran the carfax on it again and the 43,000 error was changed. Someone somewhere must have just typed in an extra zero.
In 2022 “the delayed title cases” makin it to the front lines
https://www.autoblog.com/2022/08/15/...-title-delays/
Apparently they couldnt get the titles to the customers quickly for whatever reasons, but I would wager that the domestic situation of Govt forced lockdowns played a factor with these cases
However with Senators like this in Florida, perhaps its best to avoid buying in Florida

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Point is Carvana either didn’t notice it, or didn’t care to fix it, so definitely jack up the car and give it a once over or get a pre-purchase inspection during the first week to make sure there isn’t something amiss.

Delivery was good and service was good. I actually drove to the hub and picked up the Vette. They did not want to haul it in their funky looking last mile trucks.
I have since switched to CarMax. I find them more professional, brick and mortar stores, and the MaxCare warranty is great!
So now the dealer is submitting the $9000 repair bill the adjustor cleared and gave them the go ahead for
This is where the rubber meets the road, to see how fast the warranty company pays it. I will report back
Thats amazing…..
Considering I literally just bought one in IL 3-4 weeks ago,
Literally after selling my SUV to them and being quite happy with the transaction
(sadly not at the sametime to get the tax savings)
….and it came with plates on it day of purchase
(Which was the original problem for customers)
Thats my car bottom of the vending machine

I guess that they might be squared away with the states.
