Hi all, was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I have a 2017 with 15,000 miles on it. Saw that I had some compressor oil on my garage floor along with the green contrast in it. Took it to dealer as GMEPP waranity will cover the replacement. Unfortunately it is on back order. Anyone else have this issue and at what mileage. Also my AC still works and I hear the clutch engage. if it runs to low on compressor oil what will happen? Does it sieze up? Thanks

Yes, it can. However, before that happens, it might run too low on refrigerant, causing a drop in pressure with the HVAC control system preventing the compressor clutch from engaging.
I just looked at pic on rockauto. I 'think' I see bolt heads just behind/under the pulley that may extend all the way through the case holding all the layers together. It might be worth it to try to tighten them. Whether that helps or not, you can add oil by adding a freon that contains oil. It's been 12+ years since I worked on cars so I am not sure of the procedure w/ todays equipment but I assume that can still be done.
