Default Lightweight GS Project

Doubling down on the strengths of a N/A C7 GS platform, looking to minimize unsprung weight.

Im still taking the car mostly for spirited drives and road trips on public roads with a couple planned track days a year. But still appreciate the benefits of a lower unspring weight machine.

How much of a weight savings did people achieve so far from what you saw/read?

Among the options I see below to lower “unsprung” weight, What are the most popular items?

-Tires (still like the fat profile so would keep this minimum 335mm)

-Rims (best options are still forged aluminum HRE and Forgelines? Any viable magnesium or carbon fiber options for lower weight?

-Brakes (What pad, rotor combo while keeping daily driveability and low brake dust? Love my OEM calipers but if there is something significantly lighter that looks as good in red, let me know)

Did I miss any other areas for unsprung weight? Please let me know. Thanks,
