This is for my 2015 Camaro SS but might be similar to Corvette.
How can you tell bad clutch switch or starter?

For a few years now, sometimes I have to step clutch a few times and it starts.
But now sometimes much long time to start.
I thought either or both clutch position sensor switch or starter.
Mechanic said bad battery. I can't figure out how to remove old clutch switch and mechanic said he doesn't know how to change clutch switch.
After new battery sometimes still no start, cold or warm.
This time I can hear a soft click under the dashboard.
Thanks in advance.

It's usually mounted on the bracket the clutch pedal is attached to. Remove the connector, remove the bolt that secures the switch, call it good. On the Corvette you also have to do a Clutch Pedal Position "relearn" procedure. I'd imagine the Camaro is the same.

Here's a pic I found online. Camaro should be similar...

I really don't know anything about the Camaro, But there could be a switch on the clutch pedal like the brake light switch on the brake pedal. It would be worth getting under there and checking it. Shouldn't be that hard.
